Santa Came!!

Jaxsen was good enough this year for Santa to pay him a visit and he left alot of fun stuff. The new Toy Story movies (which we all were excited about) and a cool backhoe that he can scoop stuff up with! Maybe next summer we can get a sandbox for all these cool trucks he has.

Santa must have loved the cookies we put out because he ate all of them and only left one little bite
Jax also got some cool mickey mouse slippers and his own flashlight in his stocking and a whole bunch of candy which he was excited to get out.

He LOVES this backhoe
He also got an easel and lots of crayons, markers, paints and paper. He loves to color and draw so he got all set up!!

After we opened presents he ran up to me and dave and gave us big hugs and said "Thanks Mom & Dad" the he said "THANKS SANTA" he is just the sweetest boy.

Christmas EVE...

Christmas Eve has always been my favorite day of the year, I LOVE the excitement and anticipation of the day before christmas, and it's even funner when you have a little one. We started the day with a trip to the Elk Refuge in Jackson and it was pretty awsome. It was a fairly nice day, sunny and almost 20 degrees. Jaxsen was most excited to ride the school bus.

In the picture above he is yellling "look at all the EEEEELLLLLKKKK" even though the guide asked us not to scream, Jaxsen always does what you tell him not to do!!

Then we went down to my mom and dad's for dinner and Jaxsen is always wanting to help out and he insisted he help grandpa stoke the fire, so he put on his gloves and checked it out!!
And he loves his Great Grandpa Hatch, but who doesn't?? He is a GREAT MAN!!
Then it was time to go home and open up our ONE christmas eve present and Jaxsen just couldn't contain his excitement. As soon as he saw the jammies he screamed MONKEY JAMMMIES, these are my FAVORITE!!

Then it was off to bed so that Santa could come. Jax was out like a light while dreams of sugarplums danced in his head.

The many faces of Jaxsen

When Jaxsen's not being a puppy...

or a Mr. Fix It Man...

He's just being the crazy kid we love. I love his imagination, even if he does lick my arm like a puppy and bang his hammer on my walls when he's "fixing" something or while he's running around the house riding a buckin horse.. I LOVE everything about this kid and we are lucky to have him in our family!!

SANTA...

Jaxsen just couldn't wait to see Santa this year. He was SO EXCITED!!
This is Santa #1
He went to the ward christmas party with Grandma and Papa Barkdull and was exstatic when Santa walked in. He ran right up to him before he could get sat down and gave him a big hug. After he sat on Santa's lap and asked for Toys he started walking away when he realized he forgot to tell santa something. Carol told him he needed to let the other kids have a turn with Santa and he said "I have to tell Santa something" so he marched on over and tapped on santa's leg and said "Thanks Santa"
Santa #2
We saw this santa at the City Center Holiday Craft Fair. He again was very excited to see him. The morning we saw him it had snowed hard the night before and we were talking to him about going to Grandpa Hatch's house and plowing snow in the tractor, so he told santa he wanted to "give him a tractor to plow his driveway."

   Santa #3
We saw this santa at King's and he was an awsome santa! He gave him a candy cane!! (which Jax LOVES) and a motorcycle. We also got a free picture and it turned out so cute. All the presents under the tree are making him so excited and he can hardly wait! We are going to have so much fun this year!
These are some fun craft projects I've been doing with my mother in law, and I think they turned out pretty cute.
Our stockings are hung and patiently awaiting Santa to fill them up. I just can't wait to see Jaxsen's face this christmas
