Jaxsen's schooling ME
Jax came home from school and he was so excited and asked me if we could do an experiment.. hmm I thought this should be good. "OK what do we need?"
He says 2 glasses, water, salt and eggs..mmm my curiosity grows
I am not a very easy going mom and I don't really enjoy messes but because of his excitement I let go and said OK. So we got the glasses, filled them with water and he poured salt into one of the glasses. I said why are you not putting water in the other glass, he said hang on mom.
Next he told me that he needed to break one egg into each glass. To my surprise one of them floated and one sank. I said wow what makes it float? He said "The salt creates buoyancy" in a very matter of fact way that really put me in my place! I loved seeing his face when he showed me this and I love that his little mind keeps working after the school bell rings! Thank you to The Learning Academy for always creating a fun, learning environment.
Sydney's Blessing
We blessed Syd on October 27th and she looked BEAUTIFUL!!! Her dress was perfect, her shoes were adorable and smile was contagious! Morgan gave her the most beautiful blessing and of course I was crying..Dave, my dad, my grandpa, and Morgan and of course Jax were all part of the blessing and it just couldn't have gone better.
All this being cute can really wear a girl out!!
And of course as soon as I took her dress off she started smiling and talking up a storm! Little stinker.

Jax's Big Day
Jaxsen started Pre-School at the Learning Academy on September 5th, 2012, he was so excited to finally be going to school. He went to Summer Camp at the Learning Academy so he was already familiar with the kids and the teachers which helped ease his mind. Jax goes to school Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-3. He is soaking up everything and I'm always so excited to pick him up an hear what he learned that day. The teachers take pictures through out the day and then they send home 3-4 pictures of what they did, which helps Jax remember and then he goes into full detail about what project they did and what it taught him.

Sydney Isabell Udy
Sydney Isabell was born on August 29th, 2012 at 10:02 am, she was 7 lbs. 15 oz. 19 3/4" long. I was scheduled to be induced on Tuesday night the 28th. Dave and I went to the hospital and got all checked in. They hooked me up to the monitor and said I was having contractions every 3-5 minutes. I knew I was having contractions but I had been having them for a few weeks and thought they were just Braxton Hicks, and I didn't realize they were so close together. The doctor came in around 6:30 and checked me, she said I was dilated to a 3, 90% thinned and I was already in labor. She said they were going to give me a shot of morphine and let me sleep and labor though out the night. The next morning not much had changed so around 6:00 am they started me on a low dose of pitosin. Around 7:30 am my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and pretty hard so I opted for my epidural. The anesthesiologist came in around 8:00 am and we got started, right in the middle of him putting a big needle in my back my water broke, what a feeling.. They got me all cleaned up and settle back in bed and they checked me again at 9:30 am and I was dilated to a 9. The nurse called my doctor and said it's time to get over to the hospital! The nurse had me do a few practice pushes to get me fully dilated but after 2 pushes she said "oh.. we better stop or you'll have this baby before the doctor gets here!" My doctor came rushing in, got all her protective clothing on, I pushed 3 more times and at 10:02 am Sydney was here!! It was such a great experience and I'm so thankful I had my WONDERFUL and SUPPORTIVE husband right there with me thought the whole thing! I also had the BEST doctor in the world and an AMAZING nurse by my side the entire day! Grandma brought Jax over to the hospital to meet his new sister and he was instantly in LOVE with her!
Jax picked these wild flowers for me and brought them to me in the hospital. Grandma wanted to stop and buy flowers but he insisted on picking them himself! What a sweet sweet boy!
When it was time for Syd's first bath Emily (our Favorite Nurse) asked Jax if he wanted to help and he was ecstatic! He helped clean her up, put on lotion and picked out her hat! What a good big brother! It was so nice for the nurse to let Jax be involved, it made him feel extremely important.. which he is!
The other best thing about the Jackson Hospital is this amazing candle light dinner they make for you. We had a delicious steak, baked potato, vegetables, salad, roll and some AMAZING cheesecake! They took the baby to the nursery so Dave and I could just sit with each other and reflect on the day we had just had!
Jax did not want to go home that night, he wanted so bad to stay with his sister. I just love these two and I am so thankful they are mine!

2 Wheeling it UP!!
Jax has been dying to take his training wheels off so the other day it was time!
Here he is enjoying his training wheels one last time
And there it is!! His 2 wheeler!
Better put that helmet on
It took him a few tries but he got it right away and was doing awsome! I love his tongue hanging out all the time, that shows real concentration!
Jax's first Mutton Bustin
Jax has been asking us for some time if he is big enough to ride a sheep in the rodeo? I wasn't really thrilled about the idea but boys will be boys right? So we signed him up for the 4th of July rodeo and he was so excited!! We tried to get him to take a nap all day so he would be all rested up in time for the rodeo but what does mom and dad know?? So he fell asleep right before we left.. so he slept on the way to the rodeo grounds then once we pulled in he was all jazzed up and ready to ride.
So he got on all of his cowboy gear and his number and went over to the shoots to check out the sheep and see what he was in for!
There went my little man looking all big and grown up.. when did that happen?
He loved hanging out by the shoots he was talking it up with all the bull riders and they were giving him pointers about how to have a longer ride! He was soaking it up!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of him looking so chill just waiting for his ride!
