My cousins from Minnesota came up for a week to visit and introduce us to their wonderful husbands. One of our traditions is to load the truck up with a bunch of milk jugs and go out "plinking" as Grandpa calls it. So we wanted to share this with Jax and he was so excited to go!! Jax wasn't scared or hesitant at all and wanted to just jump right in and get shooting. We started him out with my 22 pistol because it doesn't kick and he was instantly hooked and wanted to shoot every gun we had. We all took turns and it turns out we were a little rusty but we finally got our groove back. Dave was so patient with Jax and gave him all the information he needed to be a responsible gun shooter. He concentrated so hard and really wanted to get some bottles down.
This is Jenna, she is my age and we have always clicked. Even though I haven't seen her in 11 years as soon as we laid eyes on each other it was like we just talked yesterday. She is super sweet, sassy and cute!! Don't mess with us Hatch girls.. we know how to take care of ourselves.
This is my super sweet cousin Jessica. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know. Just seeing her smile makes me smile and I love these two girls like CRAZY!!
Jax kept busy by collecting all the shells from everyone's gun. That's a full time job.
Here's Asa, Jenna's husband. It may have taken him a bit to get going by the end of the day he was shooting bottles from left to right.
Mike.. He seemed a bit timid at first but after getting a few bottles he wanted to just keep going.. what a rush when you see those bottle blow up one after another!!
Such great company!!
Jax was just begging Dave to let him shoot by himself so after a day of showing good responsibility with the guns we decided it was time. He got up there and fired a few rounds to get used to it.. and before we knew it..
HE SHOT TWO BOTTLE.. IN A ROW!! Way to go Jax!! He couldn't wait to run up the hill and get his bottles!
And the advantage of being a boy!!
