Well here it is the middle of January and I'm just catching up on Thanksgiving and Christmas.. Anyways Rick, Becky, PJ and Ezra came up for thanksgiving and Jax and PJ got along really good.. compared to the last visit. Grandma was making pies so naturally Jax and PJ needed to make thier own pies. PJ's turned out pretty good and I think Rick even ate it... however Jax's.. was uhhh not so edible, but he had fun making it!!
Then we went down to SLC to see our newest nephew Josh, he is so stinking cute we tried to sneak him home with us but Laurie wasn't having it! It was just a quick trip and wish I could have stayed longer but at least we got a trip to see Santa and a sleigh ride to see the lights in Layton Park!!
This is our Christmas tree.. poor thing looks a little thin but was a good tree, my mom bought me a fake tree for christmas so this year I can set it up REALLY early and leave it up REALLY late with out having pine needles ALL over the place!
Jaxsen and Grandma made Gingerbread houses this year. Good thing for Grandma beacuse I don't have enough patience for this kind of stuff. He had a blast and made a huge but I guess it's all part of the experience. He was so proud of himself when it was all done that it made the huge mess he made worth it. I really need to take a breath sometimes and enjoy these times instead of worring so much.
Christmas Eve Jax was so excited he could hardly contain himself. He kept telling us "I'm so excited.. I'm so excited!" We went over to Morgan and Carol's in the afternoon and visited with Dan, Laurie, Kennedy and Josh then in the evening we went to my parents for our tradional Christmas Eve dinner. I didn't take very many pictures this year beacuse I wanted to get more on video. Jax said some of the funniest things when he was opening presents and I'm glad we'll be able to watch the video in 15 years and remember how funny and sweet he is!
We put out some milk and cookies for Santa.. and Jax said he just needed to try one to make sure it was a good kind of cookie! Santa spoiled us all, Dave and I got a new set of pots and pans and we LOVE them! Jax got a bow and arrow and a truck that pulls a trailer with a snow machine on it! He was excited! He also got some clothes but wasn't as excited about them.
Dave and I got Jax an INNOTAB and he LOVES it. Once he opened it we had to pull it out of his hands so he could open the rest of his presents.
He also got spoiled by Grandma's and Grandpa's. He got a new coat, cowboy boots, shirts, shoes and a sled from Gradma and Grandpa Hatch. He got the cutest chaps and spurs from Grandma and Papa Barkdull and a remote control Dozer and Loader from Grandma and Grandpa Udy! What a spoiled kid! We all had a wonderful Christmas and are so thankful for all our family. Here's to a happy, healthy and exciting new year!
