This year the Kindergartners got to go to the planetarium in Rexburg. Jax was pretty excited, he had no idea what to expect but has gotten sick the morning of the last two field trips so it didn't matter what they were doing he was just glad he was going. We stopped at a park to get out some energy after that LONG bus ride. Then we had lunch, loaded up and headed to BUY-I to check out the planetarium. It was pretty neat. They play a little cartoon that helps keep the kids interested but in that dark quiet room I think there were a few closed eyes ;) We headed back to Tetonia and had a very successful field trip! Love being able to tag along and enjoy this time with Jax!
Pretty good hiding spot there partner!
Then the next week we had the Famous FIELD DAY! I remember field day when I was in Elementary and it was always a good time! We found out from field day that Jaxsen doesn't have one competitive bone in his body. He didn't mind that he came in last almost every event. He was more excited for the ones passing him and finishing first. It's so cute. As a parent I feel conflicted because I really would like him to have the desire to win, but on the other hand I love that he is so happy for the winners. That to me shows such character for such a young age. Jax gave it his all and had a good time doing it. Syd and I followed him around from one event to the other but Syd really wanted to get out and show everyone how it's done!

This is Jax on his last day of school. They had a little end of the year program and then a fun morning. They got out of school at noon and by 3:00 all I heard was I'm board.. oh boy!
Mrs. Nelson was Jax's teacher this year and she is by far AMAZING.. That word isn't even big enough to describe her. She was so great at getting Jaxsen excited about school. Her sweet and caring personality made all the kids feel at ease and most of all they learned a TON of new things this year. Thank you Mrs. Nelson for spending the last 8 months helping Jaxsen learn and grow.
