Let it snow.. Let it snow..

This was the first year that Jax was interested in actually helping make a snowman. We got a good dump last weekend so we suited up and went to work. The snow was still pretty fluffy so we just made a little one, but I think he turned out pretty cute!

Last night and today it's snowed so much you can't even see our little snow guy:( Guess it's time to upgrade to a full sized snowman. But there is nothing better to do on a nice snowy day than hang out in the house with my sweet little boy and watch.......... CHRISTMAS movies!!

Growing Up..

I know Jax is growing up right before my eyes, but when I stop and really watch, I realize just how much he has GROWN. He has the best imagination and loves to help in the kitchen (even though I sometimes don't think of it as help) but I just can't help but smile when I see him really cooking something up.

Halloween Catch Up

This year was such a fun year. Jax was so excited about all the halloween activities we all had a great time. He was begging do cut up a pumpkin so we went to the store and picked out a few of our favorite ones, then we brought them home and got to work. Dave cut the top off and let Jax gut them out. Jax pretended he was an excavator and was scooping up the pumpkin guts and stock piling them.. (such a boy) Then Dave carved them up with Jax instructing him how he wanted it to look.
I think they turned out pretty cute! He was so proud. Grandma and Grandpa Hatch also brought over a pumpkin and Jax drew a face on and Grandma Hatch did a heck of a good job carving around all his crazy lines and it turned out cute.. don't know why I didn't take any pictures of that :(
Then on Halloween day we had a BUSY.. Fun day. It started out at Grandma Barkdull's house making sugar cookies. This stemed from a visit Jax had with Grandma about 3 weeks ago. I took Jax up to her house to play and he said "Grandma how about you show me how to make sugar cookies today" Grandma laughed and said they would make Halloween cookies and that they did!! Jax was driving me CRAZY with all the sprinkles so Grandma sent me to the store to get a drink as soon as I left Jax told Grandma "Now that my mom is gone we can really have fun!!"
Then we cruised out to Idaho Falls to visit Papa in the hospital. Nothing like a cute dragon to make you feel better. It must have worked to because Papa came home just a few days later! Jax made a lot of people in the hospital smile and he also got candy at every floor we stoped at!
Then we rushed back to trick or treat on main street and the best part was we got to see Grandma Hatch at the bank!! We also trick or treated a few other must stop spots but I didn't get any pictures of that again :(
