Every 4th of July, Dave's family has a HUGE gathering.. It's a chance for us to get together, visit, play and eat all the snack foods and ice cream we want!! This year we had ALL the cousins there and the kids had such a great time. Parker and Liza got to come early so we were able to see them before all the craziness started. Jaxsen just fell in love with Parker and Liza and they were always so good with him.
Then Becky and PJ came, followed by Andrea and Tyler, and then Laurie & Kennedy, Claudia & Chris and Ethan showed up. The kids all had a great time. It's so fun to see them together, they are all so much a like and yet sooo different...
Ethan is such a mommy's boy so it took him a while to warm up to anyone... but as long as his mom wasn't within eyesite he was just fine!! But he warmed right up to Andrea!
All the kids love the horses, but Jaxsen loves them a little to much.. I had to rescue him from under Junior, he had slipped through the fence and was scratching his belly. But Junior who is sometimes a handful was very gentle and moved his leg back and walked away from him.. or maybe he was walking away from me (the crazy lady running outside yelling at Jaxsen to get out of the pasture)??

Gradma and Papa got all the kids bubbles this year... And the girls loved them.. and Jaxsen loved his until he found the water spicket and realized he could get wet and play in the water while everyone else was distracted with the bubbles. He is such a boy... I asked him what he was doing and he said "I'm woorking mom"
After the 3rd change of clothes and a small load of laundry I drug him in kicking and screaming.. until he saw the baby. Jaxsen loved playing with Ethan.. He was always wanting to give him hugs and play with him. Next year these two boys will have eachother to protect themselves from....

PJ kept wanting to see her seat in Andrea's car (because PJ said she was going home to Texas with Andrea) so Andea took all the kids out to her car, popped in movie, put on the headphones and they all sat there watched the movie!! I think this was the only time these 3 kids were sitting for longer than 3 minutes at one time this whole weekend!!
Then it was time to start our traditional campfire.
The older kids were experimenting with fire...
Papa let the kids through wood on the fire.. until there was so much wood on there that it almost put the fire out!!
And we had to have a fire to make smores!! MMM they were delicious!!
But ohh it's so nice to have our own home to go to at the end of the night, so @ 10:00 at night when all the kids are still all wired up on sugar we say... night night.. see you tomorrow

This looks like so much fun.. I love camping with family it makes me happy to go to Idaho in Sept.. to bad I have to wait so long:)
I always love the craziness of huge family get togethers. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. That little Jax of yours is just to cute! Miss ya.
