Colorado 2016

My brother has lived in Colorado for almost 4 years and we've never made it out to visit him, until this year. We decided to take a family vacation and stay with LP and enjoy the "big city" We left on a Friday after everyone got off work, it took us 2 days to get there because traveling with the kids isn't the easiest thing to do. We made many stops and only drove about 4 1/2 at a time before we had to stop for the night. We stopped in Rock Springs WY and got a hotel. LP had to work the next day until 8:30 at night so we decided to just sleep in, get up and let the kids swim in the pool and burn off as much energy as they could before finishing the last 5 hours of the trip. I was sitting in the hot tub soaking my feet with my clothes on.. when Sydney slipped off the step and fell in the middle of the hot tub. I had to jump in (fully clothed) to grab her. It scared her so much that she wanted to get out.

We got to Colorado around 4:30, we stopped at the golf course but LP was so busy he couldn't really visit. So we went to Walmart and did some errands to kill some time. We went back to the golf course around 6:30 and had a delicious dinner at the golf club. We got to sit out on the patio and enjoy the sunset. It was such a beautiful evening.

Sunday morning we went to the golf course for an amazing brunch buffet. After that we took off to Denver to watch a Colorado Rockies game. OOOHHHH it was the HOTTEST game EVER!! We had great seats right between the right base line and the center field . The seats were so hot that we could have fried an egg on them. The kids ate cotton candy, snow cones, nachos, pretzels, popcorn and drank TONS of water. Me and my mom and Sydney kept going up to the top in the shade to get out of the sun but Dave and Jaxsen toughed it out and enjoyed watching the game. There were a few balls that came close to us but we didn't catch any. We did see a Rockies guy hit a home run that went SKY HIGH. Up to the 3rd deck, it was a MASSIVE hit! Dave got a gyro and let Jaxsen try a few bites. He said "Mmmm, that's good, then Dave told him it was Lamb and he said "oh I don't really like it!"  The sun drained us all but Sydney fell fast asleep and Dave had to carry her back to the shuttle bus. We had a great time but would have enjoyed it more if it hadn't been quite so HOTT.
